St. Benedict Hat

This is our St. Benedict hat, we really wanted to capture the intricacies of the design from the back of the St. Benedict Medallion. There is a lot of elements to it rather than just letters, these letters are actually acronyms and this is what they mean and their translation from latin. We not only want to recreate beautiful designs for your enjoyment, but also to educate you on the significance of these designs.

CSPB: The initials stand for Crux Sancti Patris Benedicti - "Cross of the Holy Father Benedict"

VRSNSMV - SMQLIVB: These are the initials for the exorcism prayer,

"Vade Retro Satana, Non Suade Mihi Vana, Sunt Mala Quae Libas, Ipse Venena Bibas"

"Begone, Satan! Do not suggest to me thy vanities! Evil are the things thou profferest, drink thou thy own poison"
